Discover a way, to find your inner-self, and connection with the world around you.

The System of Reiki (“Rei”= spirit and “ki”= energy, translated as “universal life energy”) was developed by Usui Mikao over 100 years ago in Japan, which comprises different esoteric Japanese and Asian teachings that focuses on enlightenment and self-healing for mind, body and spirit. It is easy to learn, takes discipline to practice and is extremely relaxing for the one who receives it.

The System of Reiki is not a religion, as it holds no creed or doctrine.

Nathalie was introduced to Reiki in 1998 in Germany. It was during a time of stress and personal changes, Reiki helped her to regain inner peace and relaxation and to overcome these challenges.

Almost ten years later, Nathalie had the opportunity to learn more about Reiki and now practices the Master/ Teacher level and has studied with the pioneer and Author in Animal Reiki, Mrs. Kathleen Prasad.

When the System of Reiki came to the West, the teachings were altered in many different ways to suit the Western culture. A lot of the New Age philosophies were implemented and therefore a lot of teachings, now known as “Reiki”, are far from the original.

Nathalie's practice is based on the teachings of Bronwen and Franz Stiene, founders of the International House of Reiki and Authors of The Reiki Sourcebook and The Japanese Art of Reiki. In their teachings, Bronwen and Franz Stiene emphasize the traditional spiritual teachings of Usui Mikao.

In the teachings one will discover:

  • Who they are
  • How one relates to the world
  • How the universe relates to one
  • How to cultivate ones inner energy
  • The benefits of esoteric meditation
  • How to use energy to heal oneself and others
  • How to create a daily routine to develop spiritual awareness
  • The workings of the Japanese energetic system

Nathalie is not a physician or a veterinarian, nor will she make diagnoses.

Nathalie offers Reiki as a supporting element in the strive for balance in the mind, body, and spirit of animals and their human companions.

The name "Equi Zen" is derived from two words; "Equine" meaning horse and "Zen", which characterizes simplicity, clarity and openness. These words represent the essentials in Nathalie's life.
